Being a best-selling author myself and usually quite critical of memoirs that highlight an author's self-proclaimed spiritual journey (hey, we've all been on one), I read this book reluctantly only because I knew it was about Sri Sri Ravi Shankar who I believe is one of the most powerful spiritual masters on the planet today. Surprise, surprise - the book is phenomenal. I literally could not put it down. We can all relate to the author's resistance and surrender, resistance and surrender, and the stories he relates about Shankar himself are not to be missed. I'm buying 10 copies to give as holiday gifts and looking forward to Michael's presentation at the Book Celler.
