Re: “Unforgiven

Rosenbaum is like English Bob, a pretentious snot who fails to understand American culture, and how Unforgiven reflects it so perfectly. There's nothing being "revised" here except outdated concepts and stereotypes of the genre, which were due for this sort of wake up call anyway. The film is not about Eastwood's redemption as a type-casted violent anti-hero either... Eastwood just happens to be the only person in Hollywood who could have played this role... wrinkly cold dead stare and all. The same can be said for his utterly humanistic (and dramatically urgent) style of directing. And Rosenbaum, if you're going to try to do a smear job on a movie of this caliber, give it more than a paragraph. Your tiny analysis lacks depth, references to support your argument, and most shamefully, complete sentences. Remember, complete sentence contain a subject, verb, and object. You need to have all three. I can scan you my son's third grade grammar guide if it will help. When it comes to your bad taste though, you're on your own.
