A good experience. Very good thin crust pizza, fine martini, good server, pleasant room. The prosciutto, served in long pieces over the pizza I ordered, was wonderful. If I lived in Rogers Park, I'd be here often.
10-minute wait to place our drink order. Then the salds arrived before the drinks. Spinach salads had very good dressing and wonderful mushrooms. Salmon was just ok; whitefish was better. We liked the accompanying potatoes better than the fish. Fine espresso. Generous $8.50 martini. Pleasant neighborhood crowd.I will return to see if we just happened in on an off night.
The "Popcorn Organic Salmon" was a bit off. I'm not real picky, but it was at least a day past when it should have been discarded. On the other hand, the mesclun salad was great, I loved the bread selection, the pricey martini was excellent, and the server understood that I wanted to eat quickly and kept things moving just fine.
Sockeye salmon special was just excellent. Side of broccoli with garlic chips came with irritatingly pieces of broccoli--like what you might get in an expensive, but not very good, steakhouse. Waiter said the martinis were 6 oz., but my guess is 3, maybe 4. Overall a very pleasant meal, if also very pricey.
A nice find--wonderful food, in a very pleasant room. Great that they are open Mondays.
