Expo Art Week


Now in its third year, Expo Chicago (9/18-9/21) is a modern-art menagerie that brings together work from more than 140 different galleries from 43 different cities in 17 countries. There are afterparties and panel discussions to be had. Kicking things off is Expo Art Week, a precursor to the main event that places a special emphasis on local galleries, artists, and exhibits. $20, $30 festival pass

Today marks the kickoff of Expo Chicago, one of the largest art fairs in the world. More than 140 national and international galleries are featured at Navy Pier's Festival Hall, and museums and local dealers across the city are concurrently hosting special exhibitions for an all-out immersive weekend of modern and contemporary art.
