The show costs five bucks, but the men of Claymore--a production company that also generates short videos, blogs, and comic strips--are indeed free. At the performance I saw they started out sitting down, telling anecdotes that led to scenes. Then they went berserk. A make-out episode of the sort improvisers usually draw out teasingly for easy laughs was the boldest, most physical I've seen. The action was fast and unpredictable, and characters sometimes morphed midbit, taking a word or idea in a brand-new direction. Smart and confident, bordering on cocksure, they're definitely a group to watch. Two guest improv teams open. --Ryan Hubbard
