I've been coordinating the music listings and contributing music coverage to the Reader since the spring of 2011. I graduated with a BA of journalism from Columbia College Chicago in 2008. The written word is my passion, and I also love playing music. Over the years I've been in a bunch of bands of varying quality and popularity, including Heavy Times, E+, Loose Dudes, Catburglars, and Alright Alreadies. I mostly write about local music, particularly bands that get a little weird, such as Oozing Wound, Anatomy of Habit, and Running. My other interests include frivolous spending, Marvel Comics, and reasonably priced domestic beer.
