Because of the holiday, there weren't too many show announcements this week. A few things worth looking forward to did pop up, though. Here are my highlights:

Appleseed Cast with Dreamend at Bottom Lounge on March 19
Atlas Sound with Icy Demons at Lincoln Hall on January 15
James Blackshaw with Gary Higgins at the Empty Bottle on February 6
Crystal Castles (DJ and live set) at the Logan Square Auditorium on New Year's Eve
Evan Dando of the Lemonheads at Double Door on February 19 (on sale Saturday at noon)
Fucked Up with Kurt Vile at the Empty Bottle on February 13
The Good Life at Subterranean on December 29 (on sale Saturday at 10 AM)
Buddy Guy's string of January dates at Buddy Guy's Legends (on sale Saturday at 10 AM)

There's a comprehensive list at the Reader's Early Warnings page, and you can also sign up for a weekly Early Warnings e-mail blast.
