Gonna Set My Soul on Fire

Former Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich will take part in Columbia College's long-running Cinema Slapdown series, defending the merits of Viva Las Vegas, George Sidney's 1964 Elvis vehicle, in a debate with film and video assistant professor Dan Rybicky. The program takes place Wednesday, December 16, 7 PM, at Columbia's Film Row Cinema, 1104 S. Wabash, eighth floor, and admission is free. I can't believe they're just giving this away for nothing. It's a fucking valuable thing.
