Tonight at 8 PM, the Whistler (2421 N. Milwaukee) offers up Mise En Place - Snap Shots: the second installment of the Pavement Theater Group's performance series. Gather 'round and listen to short plays from past, present, and future Pavement members, including Gregory S. Moss's Youth; Mallery Avidon's Why I Don’t Want to Go to Yoga Class With You — A Lecture; Joshua Conkel's A Super Shiny Precious Thing; and A Clavicle by Artistic Director David Perez. Providing score is SHAPERS, which includes members of May Or May Not and the Hood Internet. There's no cover, but it is a fund-raiser for Pavement — so, you know, maybe give 'em a coupla bucks, why dontcha. Proceeds will support their February 2010 production of Moss's punkplay — a Visiting Company Initiative at Steppenwolf Theatre Company. DJ Nathaniel Parks provides the post-performance soundtrack.
