Blago's wish list for Obama

Posted by Mick Dumke on Tue, Dec 9, 2008 at 11:51 AM

Governor Blagojevich was thinking carefully about how to fill the U.S. Senate seat vacated by Barack Obama, according to the feds: "I’ve got this thing and it’s fucking golden, and, uh, uh, I’m just not giving it up for fuckin’ nothing. I’m not gonna do it."

In fact, the governor and top advisers allegedly came up with a list of coveted jobs and favors from Obama, Obama's allies, or campaign supporters--that might help him make a decision. Among them:

·        an ambassadorship

·        secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services

·        secretary of the U.S. Department of Energy

·        head of a private foundation, perhaps the Red Cross

·        head of a nonprofit funded with $10-$15 million from Warren Buffett or Bill Gates

·        head of Change To Win union coalition

·        some other kind of job paying $250-$300K a year

·        job for wife Patti Blagojevich in Washington or New York

·        job for Patti Blagojevich with Change to Win

·        corporate board appointments for Patti Blagojevich

Or, if none of this worked out, Blagojevich could always call himself a senator: "And, and I can always use it. I can parachute me there.”

"The conduct would make Lincoln roll over in his grave," U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald [PDF] said a few minutes ago. The governor's office, he said, is "in the middle of a political corruption crime spree, and we wanted to stop it."

It should be clear that Jesse Jr. was the unnamed senate candidate that Blago was trying to extort something out of SEIU for. SEIU bankrolled Sandi's alderman race, so Blago wanted to hit up SEIU on behalf of Jr.

The first thing the Illinois Representative have to do is change the state song to 'DING DONG THE WITCH IS DEAD". Da Boss and Steve Urkle are next. It's nice to see a US Attorney that has manly ornaments and not afraid to stand up for what is right for ALL the people.

Senate Canidate 1(the SEIU connection) is Valerie Jarret. The indictment says "1" is a woman. Senate Candidate 5 is a male. In all likelyhood that is Representative Jesse Jackson Jr. It has to be someone that could "raise $500,000", is a male, and would be "elevated" from their current position. Other potentials are State Senator Emil Jones and Representative Danny Davis. However, the $500,000 is money raised FOR Blagojevich. That would be a struggle for Davis or Jones, but not for Jackson Jr.

Senate Candidate #1 -- female. could be Tammy Duckworth or the Il AG -- Madigan. Who is Dep Governor? Who are the snitches? If you aren't a snitch you are a miscreant, right?

I would suspect that Lou Peters, one time aide to Lu Palmer and Gus Savage, would be the dep. governor for the seat who would be willing to give it back if Blago was indicted.

Oh, and "Senate Candidate 1" was an adviser to Barack Obama's presidential campaign. I suppose this could be Duckworth, but the most obvious choice is Valerie Jarret.

Candidate 1, the guy that Blago is convinced Obama wants and is frustrated that he won't pay for, is definitely Jarrett. Candidate 2, the one Blago floats as a dummy leak to try and send Obama a message, is Lisa Madigan. Candidate 5 is the big one, obviously, since, given the content of the message, he'll be swinging from the rafters pretty soon; I doubt it's Emil Jones, because Blago seems to think that Obama doesn't want #5 in the Senate, and I cannot see why Obama would be vociferously against Jones, since Jones was his mentor in the State Senate.

Lincoln wouldn't be "rolling in his grave", he'd be proud of this crook.
