That's one word for it

Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. isn’t the only person who wants to be picked to fill Barack Obama’s seat in the U.S. Senate, but he’s running the most overt campaign for it, as even those close to him acknowledge.

"I’ve been receiving a lot of e-mails from your husband lately," a friend and fellow reporter said this morning to Junior’s wife, Seventh Ward alderman Sandi Jackson, in a hallway outside council chambers.

"I know!” she said. “Isn’t he a beast?"

It wasn’t exactly the word we had in mind, but if by "beast" the alderman meant "a guy who’s sent out three mass e-mails in the last week alone explaining why he would be best for the Senate vacancy," we'd have to agree completely.

And I later discovered that the congressman’s campaign has some Obama-esque qualities to it, such as an eagerness to use new media to reach the young and connected: some supporters have started a Facebook group devoted to the cause.

So, this little bitch of an excuse for a man didn't have the balls to run for mayor, but thinks he's got what it takes to be our U.S. Senator? Put down the crack pipe, junior JJ.

I may have been used by Congressman Jackson jr for leverage for Obama, but I also used him for bringing attention to a mis-management issue in Chicago. But I do feel he is the best person to replace President Obama. he has shown me and many others , that when we need someone to fight for us, Jackson Jr when focused, is the best!

The Republicans are drooling at the chance to run against Jr. in 2010. Jr. would not even get the support of all blacks, let alone the racist wards in the city (19, 23, 32, 36, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 45, 47, 50) nor any votes south of I-80. I hope his ego forces him to take the position so that he can be soundly defeated in 2010 and be out of our hair.

Unless you know JJjr-don't judge him because he shares his father's name-he is his own person with his own accomplishments. I'm sure he could be mayor if it weren't that judgemental people associate due to name-not his good standing. Jr. is an intelligent person-a person I would like to be in Senate.

I didn't include the 11th in my list of racist wards because I would just die if I did anything to embarrass our great mayor.

As the mother of a slang-proficient teenager, I'm guessing she meant "beast" defined as "someone who is awesomely good at something."
