Gapers Block and Chicagoist are both strongly against tonight's predicted snowfall. I say bring it on:
If February give much snow
A fine summer it doth foreshow
I learned that from my Farmer's Almanac Weather Watcher's calendar, which you better believe is in my office. Further February folk wisdom, from the Wordsworth Dictionary of Proverbs: "A Welshman had rather see his dam on her bier than see a fair Februeer." I have no idea what that means but it clearly does not speak well of fair Februeers. (Illustration via Achewood)
