Street Public transportation gear

Posted by Whet Moser on Tue, Feb 19, 2008 at 1:10 PM

The local boutique Leaders 1354, purveyors of mix tapes and incomprehensible clothing (one of the great American business success stories of the past couple years is that we've finally caught up to the Japanese in the field of inexplicable urban fashion), got a nod from highsnobiety.com for their CTA sneakers. This suggests a possible solution to the transit crisis, if the CTA can get a little less square; perhaps Sebago can follow up with some Metra-branded Docksiders (h/t ptb).

Or perhaps platform shoes with maps on the bottom, skyline along the sides, and, in the center of their soles, blue tooth walkie talkie to customer service.
