Looking for something to do today? Agenda's got you covered.

Music Box's Son of 70mm Film Festival kicks off today. The two-week-long fest features 70mm classics like 2001: A Space Odyssey, Vertigo, and The Master, along with new additions to the fest line-up like Lawrence of Arabia, Doctor Dolittle, and Tron.

Just for Laughs cut and ran, but the Comedy Exposition stepped in to showcase some premiere stand-up talent. Jackie Kashian headlines tonight with Derek Smith, Megan Gailey, and many others performing as well.

The artists at the Square Roots Festival offer attendees a chance to experience some unique sounds from around the world. The Reader's Peter Margasak writes of performer Noura Mint Seymali, "Her spell-casting singing—with its melismatic cries, baroque melodic elaborations, and neck-grabbing ululations—cuts easily through the sinewy grooves."
