Reader's Agenda Tue 6/10: Guerrilla Truck Show, Creatives at Work, and Eagulls

Eagulls
Looking for something to do today? Agenda's got you covered.

The Guerrilla Truck Show, an offshoot of NeoCon, the country's largest design expo, is a pop-up marketplace at the Morlen Sinoway Atelier featuring work by local artists, designers, and furniture makers. Vendors set up makeshift gallery spaces in the backs of trucks and invite attendees to peruse their wares. Consider it an elaborate take on garage-sale season. There's also food and beer aplenty.

Tonight at Co-Prosperity Sphere check out the Creatives at Work Music Forums panel discussion between Jim DeRogatis, Ernest Wilkins (Tribune/Red Eye), and the Reader's own Leor Galil on the subject of "Music Journalism in the Digital Age: Gatekeepers and Curators."

Five-piece Leeds rock group Eagulls play at the Beat Kitchen tonight. In Soundboard Kevin Warwick writes, "Their self-titled full-length debut, released on Partisan earlier this year, is an anthemic, brooding rock record chock-full of sharp hooks and drenched in dark, noisy reverb—it's rousing enough to fill a venue with two balconies (and then some)."
