Looking for something to do today? Agenda's got you covered.

Canadian artist Stan Douglas builds installations—some of which are currently on display in the MCA's "The Way of the Shovel" exhibit—using video and literature to examine technology, modernism, psychology, philosophy, and jazz. In a talk at the MCA tonight, he'll look back on his long career. This event has been canceled. Please stay warm and keep checking the Emergency Closing Center and the City of Chicago's Extreme Weather and Emergency Services for updates.

Robbie Fulks's Monday-night residency at the Hideout is still going strong. Tonight he performs with the Pussycat Trio. This event has been canceled. Please just don't go out tonight.

Paolo Sorrentino's latest Italian feature, The Great Beauty, is about an aging celebrity journalist who begins to see Rome in a new light. J.R. Jones writes, "Once a promising literary talent, he now skates by as a columnist for a slick magazine, cheerfully savoring his failure and encouraging his rich, sodden friends to embrace their own." It screens at the Music Box tonight.
