Looking for something to do today? Agenda's got you covered:

Chunk! No, Captain Chunk!, a Parisian "easycore" band Leor Galil praises for mixing "slick keyboards, clean vocals, sunny melodies, and major chords with blunt, chugging riffs, hammering double kick drum, booming breakdowns, and guttural growls," open for Woe Is Me at the Bottom Lounge. Our Last Night and Secrets are also on the bill.

Don Hertzfeldt's latest animated film, It's Such a Beautiful Day, screens at the Gene Siskel Film Center, alongside previous efforts Everything Will Be OK (2006) and I Am So Proud of You (2008), making for a trio of films about a character named Bill, "an everyman who stoically endures the pain, uncertainty, and excruciating beauty of life," according to J.R. Jones.

The Chicago French Market hosts Marche de Noel, a centuries-old tradition that brings together various artisans selling holiday-themed wares, not unlike the German Christkindlmarket.
