At Township in Logan Square, Seattle drone-metal band Earth, whose latest LP, Angel of Darkness, Demons of Light, was released in two volumes and features songs that are "stark and plodding" according to Leor Galil, headlines a bill that also includes Eagle Twin and Stembo.

To help raise funds for victims of Hurricane Sandy, local comedians perform a benefit show at Saki in Logan Square; performers include Junior Stopka and CJ Toledano.

Northlight Theatre in Skokie presents its production of Neil Simon's The Odd Couple, featuring local theater standouts Marc Grapey and Tim Kazurinsky as the titular duo, who "bring out the great, cunning, merciless humor in Simon's script," according to Tony Adler.
