Looking for something to do today? Agenda's got you covered:

The work of philosopher, economist, sociologist, and overall intelligent person Karl Marx is examined with a contemporary lens in a lecture hosted by the Harold Washington Library Center.

At Lincoln Hall, folk-pop singer Beth Orton performs tracks from her latest effort, Sugaring Season, which Peter Margasak says is "suffused with bucolic beauty and leisurely contemplation." Sam Amidon opens.

Screening at the Music Box in a new print—bolstered by rare interviews and never-before-seen footage—is the Beatles' Magical Mystery Tour, a made-for-TV movie that accompanied the classic album of the same name.
