Melon time with Seedling Fruit

I couldn't even name eight different kinds of melons, so after Seedling Fruit jefe Peter Klein tweeted about having them, I hurried over to Lincoln Square to thump and sniff some sweet cucurbits. Turns out Klein was incorrect—his people only had four varieties, reserving the rest for the swells that can make it down to Green City Market on Wednesday mornings. That's tomorrow, by the way, so if you're one of them, presumably you'll have access to the Sarah choices, aces, seedless yellows, serenades, sweeties, and canaries in addition to the sorbet swirl, red seedless and halona pictured above.
