I couldn't make it to Sunday's Codeine show at Lincoln Hall, so I've been forced to scan YouTube videos and Facebook posts about the trio's recent reunion dates. Fortunately NYC-based underground documentary site Unartig was on hand for the band's gig at Bell House last Friday. Today's 12 O'Clock Track is a special live rendition of "Cave-In," off the band's debut LP (and Kevin Warwick's favorite), Frigid Stars.

I say "special" because the group was joined by Stephen Brodsky, co-front man of Massachusetts posthardcore group Cave In, who can be seen smiling as he slowly thrashes about in time with the tune's swelling, glacial riffs. The performance would've been even more meta had they played the song in a cave. There's always next time.
