Film A paramount picture from Paramount Pictures

The day may have passed when Hollywood studios had distinct personalities (Paramount was once the king of comedy, with stars like the Marx Brothers, Bob Hope, Mae West, and W.C. Fields). But it's still interesting to note how many of the photo subjects made career-changing or otherwise significant movies at Paramount: Peter Bogdanovich (Paper Moon), James Caan (The Godfather), Bud Cort (Harold and Maude), Robert De Niro (Bang the Drum Slowly), Bruce Dern (The Great Gatsby), Kirk Douglas (Seven Days in May), Dustin Hoffman (Marathon Man), Shirley MacLaine (The Trouble With Harry), Ali MacGraw (Love Story), Mickey Rooney (Breakfast at Tiffany’s).
As far as the studio's creative fortunes are concerned, the most important men in the shot are probably the legendary producer Robert Evans, who made some of the studio's most prestigious movies (The Godfather, The Conversation, Chinatown) and Jerry Lewis, the last great exemplar of the studio's comedic tradition.
