The problem is that, thanks mainly to 30 Rock and Saturday Night Live, I now think of Jon Hamm as a light comedian.
When Mad Men was new, Hamm was Don Draper. Now he plays Don Draper. He plays him well, but it's not the same.
The other day Hamm went off on Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian. "Stupidity is certainly celebrated," said Hamm, naming names. "Being a fucking idiot is a valuable commodity in this culture."
That was helpfully Draperish. But the damage already done cannot be repaired. Am I alone in this?
