Brooklyn rap outfit Ninjasonik are currently best known for their ode to Williamsburg ladies, "Art School Girls." With their upcoming No Swords or Masks EP, due in March on Decon, the group seems to be looking to purge the "hipster" from the "hipster rap" tag they're frequently slapped with. "Turned Up" is a punchier, tougher type of joint than we're used to hearing from them, with a hard psychedelic edge that should appeal to fans of paranoid gangsta rap. Speaking of paranoid gangsta rap, Ninjasonik is about to hit the road for a few days with Dipset capo Jim Jones, though unfortunately the tour's not coming through Chicago.

http://mysmallstory.wordpress.com/2012/02/… A beautiful day New York got even better when I came across Brooklyn’s crunk–punk trio Ninjasonik filming a music video @ Tompkins Sq park,LES. I filmed 2 takes from the making of their video “Turned Up” directed by Jason Goldblatt. I likes the track. Here is the soundcloud link for “Turned Up“.
