BYO (build-your-own) Rahm masks

Posted by Sam Worley on 02.16.12 at 03:17 PM

Old media is dead. It's no longer enough to report a story, send it through the editorial wringer, and issue it forth in a simple print edition. No: now there must be blog posts. The story should be tweeted. Online slideshows are a good idea, and so is some kind of musical component, like a playlist. Oh, and masks. There should definitely be masks.

Hot on the heels of their feline life cycle diagram, the Reader design department presents a multimedia component to this week's cover story on the upcoming G8 and NATO summits. Models are above left—is it still Fashion Week?—and a how-to diagram is below. In brief: Cut out the face. Attach it to your face. Here's hoping this catches on with the protesters. Remember: these newspapers are free!
