Happily, that drought will end soon: 482 Music will release the band's fourth album, Clean on the Corners, in the spring. This time Reed wrote all the music, with the exception of Roscoe Mitchell's "Old" and the John Jenkins tune "Sharon." Cornetist Josh Berman guests on two tracks, as does celebrated pianist Craig Taborn. On Sunday the band will play two sets, one focusing on tunes from the forthcoming album and the other featuring loose arrangements of compositions by key figures of the Amsterdam jazz scene, including cornetist Eric Boeren, trombonist Joost Buis, reedist Sean Bergin, and pianist Guus Janssen. Below you can get an exclusive preview of the new record: a beautiful ballad based on Jason Adasiewicz's "I Hope She Is Awake." It's one of the tunes with Berman.
