Unlike last year, I didn't make it to all of this year's Park(ing) Day spots on Friday, but the few I did stop by were really well done. Urban Habitat Chicago (photo above) featured yoga by the yet-to-open Tula Yoga Studio and free bike repair at its spot outside Revolution Brewing.
Heritage Bicycles, which will open this fall in west Lakeview, had free coffee and benches outside the storefront on Lincoln that will house the shop.
Moss Design once again took over several spaces outside Southport Grocery & Cafe. They had live music for most of the day and bike repair, and the cafe expanded its patio seating into the green space.
Architecture for Humanity, which has also been participating for several years, was outside Cole's with plants in recycled-beer-can planters, and was planning to do a film screening in the evening.
