A century and counting . . .

Ozzie Guillen benched the Big Breeze for two out of three games against the Colorado Rockies this week. But even Adam Dunn's failure to strike out yesterday leaves him with a momentous 100 Ks, a mark he reached on Sunday in front of 24,000 booing home fans. At that game, Dunn struck out four times in four chances—his third golden sombrero of the season—and his whiffs in the first and the third both left two runners on base in what would turn out to be a 2-1 loss to the Washington Nationals.

According to the Sun-Times, the Sox recently had the theoretical slugger play golf with sports psychologist Jeff Fishbein. "He's actually real good, so that added more stress to my life, golfing with him," Dunn said.

OK, but did it help? Well, it evidently allowed Dunn to channel Gertrude Stein.

"I just need to go back to basics and quit thinking," he told the Trib's Mark Gonzales. "It's not me. I'm not a thinker. I have to quit thinking. That's not me. I'm not a thinker. I have to see it, hit the damn thing and not make it so complicated."

So far: 67 games 231 ABs 100 Ks
