Style Double Stitch at Loopy Yarns

Double Stitch designers Erika and Monika Simmons will promote their second publication, Fashion Forward, a collection of their crochet designs featuring Red Heart brand yarn at Loopy Yarns (47 W. Polk) 5-7 PM, Wednesday, May 18. The first ten guests get a yarn goodie bag that includes the book, yarn, and crochet hooks. Red Heart will film the event so come camera-ready, RSVP to info@doublestitchtwins.com.

The south-side twins have been designing for nearly ten years, and their fans include Jennifer Hudson, Common, Eve, and Patti LaBelle. Double Stitch has garnered quite a bit of press for a combo of fun and bright designs as well as the twins easygoing personalities and stunning beauty. If you're thinking they should be professional models . . . well, they are. Remember this iPod ad? That's Erika.

Double Stitch will also be at Macy's State Street for the Macy's Girls Weekend Trunk Show, May 18-20.
