Freddie Gibbs & Co. Get Some "Oil Money"

Posted By on 09.08.10 at 04:06 PM

For the last time (actually probably not for the last time), let me remind you that if you haven't yet grabbed Freddie Gibbs's Str8 Killa EP and his Str8 Killa No Filla mix tape you're sleeping on some of the best music to come out this year. If for some reason you still need convincing, hit the jump to catch his new video for the bluesy posse cut "Oil Money," featuring Chuck from the Cool Kids, Bun B, Chip tha Ripper, and the Black Keys' Dan Auerbach.

According to a recent Reader interview with the Cool Kids, the "Oil Money" collabo has inspired a new supergroup with the working name P.O.C., for "Pulled Over by the Cops."

In other Chip tha Ripper news, his From Me to You EP—a prelude to his upcoming Gift Raps mix tape—just went online. If you need a sample to convince you to download it, check out the slow-jammy "Ain't No Love Here," featuring production by Million Dollar Mano.
