On Sat 5/22 from 2 to 5 PM, the Chicago alumnae chapter of the Delta Sigma Theta sorority hosts a free International Awareness Festival at D'Estee Inc. (4525 S. King). Panelists from Asia, South America, and Africa will discuss global health and economic issues, and participants can sample international cuisine and browse a marketplace of international vendors selling clothing, jewelry, and other items. Proceeds from sales benefit ongoing relief efforts in Haiti as well as the chapter's well-building project in Africa.
