On Thu 3/18 at 7 PM, the Hopleaf Bar (5148 N. Clark) hosts "Women on the Front Line For Conservation," a lecture by Dr. Alaka Wali, a curator and anthropologist at the Field Museum. Wali will discuss her observations of the roles that women who live in Chicago and in the Peruvian Amazon play in the care and stewardship of their homes. Her presentation is part of the Field's "Cafe Science" series; event cosponsor the Chicago Foundation for Women provides additional information here. No RSVP required, 21+ only.
