Oates appears twice for the festival. She'll sign her latest story collection, Dear Husband, and participate in a Q and A hosted by lit scholar Gavin Cologne-Brookes on Monday March 15, at 2:30 PM, and then chat with author interviewer extraordinaire Donna Seaman that same day at 6 PM. Both events will be at the Harold Washington Library Center.
Others of note at the fest: Kalamazoo-based Bonnie Jo Campbell, whose story collection American Salvage was a 2009 National Book Award finalist, and local literary lights Aleksandar Hemon, Achy Obejas, and Marcus Sakey.
The festival runs March 14 through 19; a rundown of events here.
