Tonight the Chicago Fashion Foundation holds its third annual scholarship event, featuring a fashion show from aspiring designers competing for three scholarships. It's at 6 PM at Macy's, 111 N. State. Tickets are $45, $35 for CFF members, and $25 for students. Get $5 off when you donate clothes, accessories, or cash to Dress for Success at the door.

On Friday and Saturday, the Warehouse Sale comes back to town with a designer denim sample sale. Get up to 80 percent off high-end jeans from labels including Chip & Pepper, English Laundry, and AG, as well as dresses, tops and T-shirts, hoodies, sweats, and more. It's Friday from 2 to 8 and Saturday from 10 to 4 at the Congress Plaza Hotel, 520 S. Michigan. RSVP online for free admission or pay $5 at the door.

Eskell teams up with fellow boutiques Tangerine and Le Dress, as well as Brooklyn-based brands Hayden-Harnett and In God We Trust to offer 40-80 percent off clothes and accessories at the annual Cheap Thrills sale. It runs Saturday from 11 to 6 and Sunday from noon to 4 at Eskell, 1509 N. Milwaukee.

I went to The Warehouse Sale on Friday, it was great! I pre-registered, so I had free admission instead of paying $5. I bought 3 pair of jeans for $80 each (William Rast, Hudson, and Rock Star, $300 per pair retail) and 1 pair for $50 (Lucky Brand, $100 retail). I had a coupon for $10 off a $100+ purchase, but I couldn't use it because it couldn't be combined with the buy 4, get 1 free offer. I chose a pair of Ed Hardy flip flops as my free 5th item (sale price was more than the $10 coupon). In the end, I spent $317 including tax. The selection was huge and all high-end jeans, and it was very well organized. I'll go again when its hits Chicago.
