free Tirra Lirra show at the Empty Bottle tonight. "Extra Life's music is unapologetically ambitious and complex—the band's actually a bit obnoxious, in the same way Dirty Projectors are—but all the elements, from Looker's rhythmically elaborate vocals to the moody postgoth interludes to the explosions of brutal prog, are articulated with such precision, bravura, and intensity that the last bit of my resistance has been swept away," writes Peter Margasak.
