Lively Biking in the Dead of Winter

Posted by Kevin Warwick on 12.10.09 at 11:15 AM

With temperatures dropping below five degrees (and feeling more like -15), is there a better day than today to discuss the advantages of cycling through the wretchedly cold and blustery winter months?

Today at 12:15 PM at the Chicago Cultural Center's Claudia Cassidy Theater (78 E. Washington) Chicago Bike Winter cochair Lauren Sailor and Leah Neaderthal, founder of the online bicycling community the Chainlink, will suggest ways to remain active—on your bike or off—in the talk "Lively Biking in the Dead of Winter." In case trudging through the slush and snow on a winter bike ride doesn't sound like a good time, Neaderthal and Sailor will also discuss other ways to stay involved, like attending art shows, enrolling in tune-up classes, and more.

Make sure to check out Bike Winter Chicago's schedule of events.
