Film / Free Shit / Comedy Free screening of locally-made comedy "The Strip"

Columbia College alumnus Jameel Khan started his Dave Foley-starring electronics store comedy The Strip as a vehicle for his Second City classmate Cory Christmas in a sketch show at the Cornservatory.
Women in Film Chicago presents a free industry screening of the film for members, Thursday 12/10. It's currently in a weeklong run at Landmark Century Centre.
Khan expanded his Cornservatory skit to a feature length screenplay and moved to L.A. to produce the film, returning to Chicago in 2006 to shoot it in Glendale Heights and around the metro area.
Khan's company Bata Films, which he runs with his father Jay Khan, owner of glove manufacturer Fortress Products, is self-distributing The Strip through Landmark Theaters' Truly Indie program.
The Strip industry screening is Thursday 12/10 at 7:20 PM. RSVP here. Various regular showtimes at Landmark.
