Style Holiday Markets, a Pop-Up Shop, and Other Shopping Events This Weekend

It's rare that you see the words "fashion" and "Nobel Peace Prize" in the same press release, but tonight womenswear designer Marcia Patmos of Lutz & Patmos will reveal a new piece created in collaboration with Nobel Peace Prize winner Archbishop Desmond Tutu. A portion of the proceeds from sales will go to the Desmond Tutu Peace Centre and the Hillcrest AIDS Centre Trust. It's at a private home and runs from 3 to 9 PM; call 312-375-4754 to RSVP.
With so many stores closing, it's nice to raise a glass to a survivor: Robin Richman celebrates her 12th year in business with a sale of 20 percent off everything in the store and cocktails from 5 to 8 PM.
Wicker Park green boutique and showroom Connect Chicago opens a pop-up shop in Lincoln Park at 2130 N. Halsted from 7 to 10.
The Women's Club of Evanston hosts Cornucopia, a juried holiday gift fair featuring jewelry, clothing, and accessories, as well as kids' stuff, food, and housewares. There's a preview tonight from 4 to 9; it opens at 10 on Saturday and noon on Sunday. A package ticket, which includes admission, a wine ticket, and raffle tickets, is $10, regular admission is $6.

Eskell kicks off a pre-holiday sale with discounts on the house label's fall collection as well as one-of-a-kind pieces and samples. It runs through Monday, November 23. Can't make it? You can also find items online at Refinery 29.
Check out work by Chicago-area crafters at the seventh annual DIY Trunk Show, which features handmade jewelry and accessories as well as home accessories, stationery, and more. It's at the Pulaski Park field house Saturday and Sunday.
The Modern Vintage Holiday Market runs Saturday and Sunday in the West Loop.Tickets are $10 or $8 in advance when purchased online; get a $10 voucher when you spend more than $50 with a vendor. There's free parking in the Plumbers Hall lot and free gift wrapping and packaging all weekend.
