Free Shit / Swag Free Ice Skating at Millennium Park

UPDATE: The opening of the Millennium Park ice rink has been delayed until 11/20 due to unseasonably warm weather.
The McCormick Tribune Plaza and Ice Rink in Millennium Park (Michigan Avenue between Washington and Madison) opens Wednesday Friday and will remain open through March 14, weather permitting (hours are below). Skating is free and open to the public, but skate rental costs $10.
Regular hours:
Mon-Thu: noon-8 PM
Fri: noon-10 PM
Sat (through Jan. 2): 10 AM-10 PM
Sat (beginning Jan. 9): 10 AM-9 PM
Sun: 10 AM-9 PM
Holiday hours:
Thanksgiving: 10 AM-4 PM
Christmas Eve: 10 AM-6 PM
Christmas Day: 10 AM-4 PM
New Years Eve: 10 AM-8 PM
New Years Day: noon-10 PM
Chicago Park District ice rinks, most of which offer free admission and $5 skate rental, open November 28.
