While none of this surprises me, I have to say that the folks in Milwaukee have outdone almost everyone in the fight to keep your nose out of their business.
Doc at First Draft has a fascinating account of a hardcore FOIA fight going down between the UW-Milwaukee administration and student newspaper. Good reading if you're a connoisseur of berserk legal defenses.
