Yet another fashion extravaganza gets underway today: Latino Fashion Week, which runs through November 8, highlights the work of Latino designers from Chicago, including Nora del Busto, Elda De La Rosa, and James De Colon, as well as others from Mexico, Puerto Rico and South America.

The event kicks off tonight with a hair and makeup competition at Green Dolphin Street. Other events include a student competition, a "Millennial Day" focusing on fashion for kids and teens, and a show devoted to green designs. Tickets prices and venues for individual events vary; go to the schedule page for more info and to purchase tickets.
