Coming soon:
Big Star, Paul Kahan and company's latest project, opens November 9 in the old Pontiac Cafe space, featuring tacos, bourbon, and premium tequilas. The chef is Justin Large, former sous chef at Avec, but all parties insist that the joint is strictly a honky-tonk.
And on November 4, Hearty, the latest project from the Hearty Boys of Food Network fame, opens, offering a menu of twists on comfort food like a deviled egg trio (curry, pesto, beet), a rabbit corn dog with spicy apple slaw and Honker’s Ale syrup, and a $21 tuna casserole with ahi tuna, saffron cream sauce, sauteed wild mushrooms, sweet pea puree, and crusted, dried sweet peas.
