Food Chain / Food & Drink Did Paul Virant win Iron Chef?

I recently had a chance to pester Vie chef Paul Virant about whether he won his battle on Iron Chef America against Masaharu Morimoto, set to air this Sunday on the Food Network. The ease with which he brushed me off indicates the nondisclosure agreement he signed is onerous enough to ensure that if he broke it he'd be pickling beets in a subbasement of hell for all eternity.
But would you have a party if you lost?
Virant, who competed in Kitchen Stadium with sous chef Nathan Sears and ex-line cook Craig Svozil, is hosting a viewing party at the Tap House Grill in Westmont, 6010 S. Cass, on Sunday night at 9 PM. Then on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday they'll re-create the five-course menu they made for the judges at Vie.
Can't say if having homeslice Steve Dolinsky at the judge's table helped his chances or hurt them.
