"Using found footage collected from mysterious and amazing sources, Lambert’s work achieves a magical balance between respecting truly unbelievable source material and twisting it into something hilarious and touching."

That's how curator Alexander Stewart describes the video mixtape by Kent Lambert of art-pop band Roommate, screening tonight, Sunday 8/30 at Roots & Culture Contemporary Art Center.

Lambert intercuts VHS from the 80s and 90s by Animal Charm, Shana Moulton, Michael Robinson, and Emily Kuehn for his mixtape, playing as part of part of the Zummer Tapez series, Sunday 8/30 at 8 PM at Roots & Culture, 1034 N. Milwaukee. $5 suggested donation.
