Next Tuesday, Kronos Foods is giving away free gyros at 42 locations in the Chicago area. Starting at 11 AM today, you can register for your coupon and check out Kronos locations here.

I'm not sure slightly rolling the gyro slices was the best photo styling choice. Kind of looks like some other kind of sandwich.

Are they giving away Kronos restaurant posters? Because I would totally be into that.
this was the biggest load of crap ever. I signed up through the website last week and got a coupon for Works, at 201 North Clark. Got there at 12:30 and told they were "out of gyros." Great promotion, Kronos.
Totally! I went to the Works as well only to be told they were 'out' of gyros! I could'nt believe it - I was crushing for one too.
Lame! What a joke!!! I will try hard not to ever eat a KRONOS Gyro... EVER!!! I tried to get a coupon today at 6PM and the web site has posted that there are no more coupons. WTF!!! As I read on, most places don't have any gyros left. Now I have a taste for a Gyro. You can bet it's not gonna be a KRONOS Gyro. I won't try it. They have already left a bad taste in my mouth. Way to go KRONOS, I will tell everyone I know
Sorry that you all weren't able to enjoy your free gyro. I was able to print out several coupons and took them to two spots here in the south burbs. Ariston's and The Wee Nee Wagon. I am stuffed. The website indicated before you printed out the coupon that you would not be able to print coupons after 6pm. Although there was a slight wait time, I didn't mind. I am a gyro lover, and I'm tickled pink that Krono's had this wonderful promotion giving away one of my favorite foods!!
I printed out 6 coupons and rec'd 6 free gyros. I patiently waited close to 2 hours (6:30-8:15) along with several other people. The restaurant in Algonquin is AWESOME!!!!! I am a new customer for life!

My god, was today's FREE GYROS DAY an epic fail on the part of Kronos. I printed out and cut out my coupons and brought 2 friends with me to share my love of gyros. But when I got there, I was told I needed the whole sheet -- not just the cutout part. WHY THE HELL DID KRONOS PUT A DASHED-LINE BOX AROUND THE COUPON IF THE USER WAS NOT SUPPOSED TO CUT IT OUT? DASHED LINES ARE COUPON CODE FOR As if to prove this same point, the customers in line behind us made the same "'mistake'" (sic) and dismissively raspberried the counter guy and left to dine elsewhere.
But determined to return home to reprint our coupons and get our damned free gyros, we were flabbergasted to find the coupon had been taken offline at the MOST INCONVENIENT POSSIBLE MOMENT: 6pm. WHAT WAS KRONOS THINKING???
Not only did Kronos and its outlets miss out on new and repeat customer business tonight and in the future, but its misfires put such a distaste in our mouths that will not be returning to this establishment, or having gyros at any establishment anywhere, until we get our free gyros. If that means forever, then so be it.

Sorry to hear so many had a bad experience with this give-away last year...I got a coupon from a friend and waited in a pretty long line for ONLY 15 minutes or so...the restaurant here in southern suburbs already had them warm and ready...the only down side is I had no idea that you could get the coupons online...next year I'll be prepared and keep an eye out for this offer!
