Chicago coffee, part deux

Posted by Mike Sula on 08.20.09 at 02:06 PM

This week in Food & Drink Martha Bayne filed a piece on reluctant coffee roaster David Meyers, an anarchist "coffeepreneur" who probably couldn't be more unlike last week's subject, Navy vet Kevin Ashtari of Asado Coffee Company.

For Meyers, who also works a small farm, coffee and organics are just two means to an end. "I just realized that coffee was easier than farming and I should concentrate on that for the time being," he told her. "But I do not love roasting coffee!”

Martha has a bit more on Meyers over on her blog.
