Just wanted to add a couple notes to my Critic's Choice for Maria Bamford, who kicks off a two-night stand at Lakeshore Theater tonight (related: Ryan Hubbard's posts on women in comedy are worth your while).
1. She might be the best stand-up working today, though she's closer to David Sedaris than a traditional setup-punchline comedian.
2. "Drink more caffeine and just stay on your meds" is good advice.
