Andrew Bird to rock tastefully for kids

Posted by Miles Raymer on 07.28.09 at 10:47 AM

Noted whistling enthusiast and person I am apparently reverse-racist against Andrew Bird is going to play a benefit for the extremely rad charity Rock for Kids at Schubas on August 6. An "absurdly small" number of tickets are going to be available here at noon. Chop chop!

(Sadly, the amazing comment shitstorm that ensued when my Andrew Bird column came out has been lost in the Reader's transition to its new Web site.)

Update: If you missed out on today's presale—which you probably did—Rock for Kids has a pair of tickets up on eBay. The winning bid will be tax deductible, and Rock for Kids points out that $250 will provide a whole year's worth of music lessons for one kid, so whoever wins them—and I'm guessing bids will pass the $250 mark—will also win hella karma.
