The other street-style blog in town

Posted by Heather Kenny on 07.27.09 at 12:19 PM

While Chicago street-style blog the Midwasteland has garnered a fair amount of press and attention, another blog showcasing the city's most stylish inhabitants has cropped up: Chicago Looks, created by Isadora Giallorenzo, a 31-year-old who spends her days working as a nanny.

The Brazil native says she was inspired by Face Hunter, finding that its subjects "made high fashion seem so accessible, so wearable." Like Face Hunter, she doesn't offer much in the way of information about them, other than a first name. "I don't really enjoy talking about fashion, I prefer to see it," she says. Nor does she allow comments: "I think it's great to have a space open for debate, but at the same time I don't want to see my subjects being judged."

Giallorenzo is currently in Brazil getting married, but she'll be back in mid-August to shoot more fashionable Chicagoans like the ones below:

I also really dig thestreethearts.com. With only four shots from Chicago on the entire site, it's hardly local, but it's always really good.
