Free opera performance

The Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs will present four free, fully costumed and staged performances of Handel's Acis and Galatea as part of its eleventh annual Summer Opera program. The performances will be held at the Chicago Cultural Center (78 E. Washington) at 7:30 PM on Tue 7/28 and Thu 7/30, and at 3 PM on Sat 7/3. A final encore performance will be held in the Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park (Michigan and Randolph) at 6:30 PM on Mon 8/3—the stage's first ever full opera performance.

Admission is free to all performances, but tickets are required for the performances at the Cultural Center; reservations at 312-742-8497.
